Visit Figueres and Dally with Dali

About Art-Tour of Spain, without a trip to Figueres, Figueres, the birthplace of Salvador Dali (1904), one of the famous artists throughout the world. Son of a prominent personality Dali drawing and painting began early in his life. During the year 1922, at age 18, he left Madrid for Figueres, where he began his formal training in art Residencia de Estudiantes. There he made friends with other  Barcelona artists such as remarkable poet Federico Garcia Lorca and filmmaker Luis Bunuel. From Madrid, Dali went to Paris and was part of the surrealist movement. In Paris, he met Helena Diakonova, known Gala, a Russian painter who Dali's style, his muse and his wife later. During World War II, Dali and Gala spent several years in the United States, but eventually return to Europe, where he has his painting. In the 1970's, the Dali Theatre and Museum, for his work. After the death of Gala, Dali has returned to Figueres, near the Dalí Theatre and Museum. Dali died of heart failure in 1989, and the crypt is located in the museum.

Figueres is a small town 100 miles north of
Barcelona Hotels. On the road to Figueres,take the highway to the E100005/A-7 Figueres Figueres north or south over. By train, take the Barcelona-Portbou RENFE railway line from the nearest Figueres. By bus, take the bus to the bus SARFA Figueres.

The Dali Theatre-Museum is located on the Place de Gala-Salvador Dali 5, in the

Between July and September, the Barcelona museum is open daily from 9:00 am to 7:45 From January to June, the museum is open from 5:45 to 10:30 am and will be open on Monday, January 1st, and December 25. Tickets cost 10 euros for adults, students and seniors, tickets cost 7 euros, and children under 9 are admitted free.
